We decided it was time to let Nicholas drive the whole family to the zoo in his brand new Jeep.
"Hey Buddy, don't you see my blinker??"
The entrance of the new 17 million dollar addition to the Fort Worth Zoo...before the addition, this zoo was considered to be one of the top five in the U.S. I am sure this will bring us closer to number one!!
Trying to take in every detail.....
We will need a few more visits to appreciate everything...
Prior to entering the main building Nicholas wanted to take a turtle ride!

The Komodo Dragon that Nicholas called "Lizard." I told him, "You think just an average lizard could bite the toe off of Sharon Stone's husband??" (True story, look it up) To which he replied, "Moving," as the Dragon began to walk around a little.
The exhibit has lots of cool stuff.....like a wood carving of a frog.
"I can't believe I just hugged a giant frog! Totally cool...."
Here is a statue of the 'Giant Lizard' AKA Komodo Dragon, that Nicholas wanted to climb on...
Mission Accomplished!
We were able to corral a wild horse long enough for this picture....
A big lizard who's name escapes me....let's call him, Eddie Lizard. (This joke is for Lisa and Ray)
Moving on to other parts of the zoo...here are two small animals trying to get every leaf possible off of this branch...not sure what they are, but their names are Hyacinth and Murray.
A white tiger hanging out in the cool weather...
On one side of the glass, two enormous white tigers....on the other side, a small boy and his father who can't believe his son isn't looking at the two giant white tigers. :-)
